One of the most important steps in building a Broker-Dealer team is the selection of core group of professionals. Britton Hill Capital is proud to announce that a number of extremely experienced and successful individuals have decided to join our business : Shelly Lombard, Peter Zurkow and Ray Murphy.

Head of Research : Shelley Lombard

From 2002 to 2010, Shelly was a senior high yield analyst at Gimme Credit where she covered the automotive and media industries. Shelly was one of the most quoted analysts on Wall Street on General Motors, Ford, and the restructuring of the auto industry.

Prior to that, she managed high yield and distressed investment portfolios at Safra & Co and Barclays Capital.

She also helped start the bank debt trading desk at Chase Manhattan Bank. Shelly began her career at Citibank where she structured and syndicated leveraged buyouts.

Head of Investment Banking : Peter Zurkow

Peter began as an M&A lawyer with Skadden, Arps in 1978, and changed his focus in 1986 to financial management as a member of Wertheim, Schroder’s merger arbitrage team. Beginning in 1992, Peter undertook a variety of roles at PaineWebber, which increased his product experience and provided perspective on the varying demands of companies, lenders, and equity investors.

Peter’s senior roles included trading distressed securities, managing bankruptcy reorganizations, proprietary investments in third party funds, and investment banking. Peter was also a member of the investment committee of the firm’s employee pension funds. Peter remained in the investment banking department of UBS for an additional year after its acquisition of PaineWebber in 2001.

Beginning in 2002, Peter began his involvement with a number of entrepreneurial technology ventures and, more recently, impact investments designed to generate social and environmental value as well as financial return. Peter has served on numerous public and private company boards and is active in a number of community based organizations.

Head of Private Placement Sales : Ray Murphy

Ray worked for a number of years at the Seaport Group, a specialty broker dealer where he served as a Managing Director in building distressed bond businesses.

Prior to the Seaport Group, Ray served as a Managing Director-Institutional High Yield/Distressed at SAMCO, an institutional asset management firm.

Prior to SAMCO, Ray served as a Partner at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he founded the Investment Grade bond inter-dealer agency desk.
